S5 & S6 Dance Academy
Over 2 years our senior Dance Academy students work towards achieving their HNC Dance Artist. This is a level 7 qualification and an excellent opportunity for students to leave their school experience with a college level qualification. This involves:
- 5 periods per week of timetabled dance
- 2 hours per week after school classes (usually on a Monday or Wednesday from 3-5pm)
The HNC Dance Artist pathway includes study in:
- Jazz
- Contemporary
- Dance History
- Anatomy and Injury Prevention
- Teaching Skills
- Choreography
- Body Conditioning
- Ballet
- Performance & Production
- Graded Unit
