Welcome to Expressive Arts!
Miss F. MacFarlane - Prinicipal Teacher of Expressive Arts
Mrs S. Cullen - Prinicipal Teacher of Expressive Arts
The skills developed in the Expressive Arts Faculty are fundamental to achieving success in life. All the departments within the faculty promote and encourage the skills of determination, communication, planning and creativity. This can contribute to a sense of personal, social and cultural identity, enhancing the creative and artistic skills of all who study them.
It is this breadth of learning that permits young people to use the subjects either as specialist interest or as an excellent foundation for any career. In a rapidly changing world, it is the transferable skills that dominate the Expressive Arts Faculty that will permit pupils to be flexible, imaginative and resilient in their future lives.
Students are exposed to a wide range of creative influences and often have the opportunity to enhance their classroom experience by taking part in educational excursion to theatres, art galleries and live music performances.
